What is the New Hampshire Great Park Pursuit?
The New Hampshire Great Park Pursuit is a challenge designed to help you and your family enjoy the recreational opportunities offered by state and municipal parks, forests and waterways.
Follow trails, catch fish, listen to songbirds, and visit historic sites while learning about the health and educational benefits of being more active in the great outdoors. Discover the rewards of becoming healthy, environmentally conscious citizens and have fun every step of the way!

How Does it Work?
To participate in the
2012 New Hampshire Great Park Pursuit, you need a minimum two-member team (one adult 18 years or older and one child under 18) and the desire to have a great time.
You are invited to participate in
four guided events and a series of self-guided quests through the course of the summer - all for a chance to win great prizes. Guided events provide scheduled activities focused on outdoor recreation, history and environmental education with the help of our program partners. Self-guided quests are created for you and your team to do on your own, before the Grand Finale.
Past events have included fishing at Greenfield State Park (2009) to yoga by the sea at Odiorne Point State Park (2010) and learning survival skills at Bear Brook State Park (2011). See more examples from last year's Pursuit on our
2011 Great Park Pursuit event pages.
How Do I Win Prizes?
Your team earns points for each guided event and self guided quest that you complete. Just sign in at guided events and provide the required proof-of-visit for self-guided quests. There will be extra points awarded for bonus activities as well.
The team who collects the most points is awarded a grand prize. Consolation prizes are awarded to other teams in the running. In the event of a tie, a lottery will determine the overall winner.
Although prizes are a great way to reward teams for their participation, the most important prize is getting your team engaged in outdoor activity and fostering a greater appreciation of nature.
